Slow because it takes a while to attack with an actual whip. The attack itself is fast, but constant attacking is overall slower. 2 handed... can't explain .

New weapons... save for GW2 (of course if Assassins make it to GW2, I really hope to see the Arabaic assassin and not a ninja). And bring out the Katars!

Not the speed of the whip itself, but the time required to prepare it for the next attack. To prepare the whip, you use the other hand too, otherwise you 'risk hitting nearby allies'. The two hands are for 'control'.

And that saves us the need for creating a linked offhand (the other professions use their own)
